Black Series 6" Land Speeder
« on: August 16, 2014, 08:22:22 AM »
So this was one of the projects I started over summer break. I am a little bit past the progress in this photo but as of now I am at a stand still because I don't have access to a lathe and Don't how else I could build the thruster engines. Lmk what you think or if you know of another way to make the engines

Love what you have done so far. I have been thinking of doing this with plasticard and for the thrusters I was thinking of using old Vallejo paint bottles they would need a little work and you would have to use two to make one thruster but it is a cheap way of doing them.

I agree with Hemble: look around and see if you can items that are roughly the same size and shape of the thrusters.

I'm sorry to say this but no... Ran into some issues with making the thrusters since I don't have access to a lathe. Once I get those done I'll be up and running.

Really cool project. With the thrusters the way I would try is to build a foam or clay base in the shape of the thruster add your greebles then cover in shaped styrene. You can use hot water to shape styrene sheets. It might take a few tries but its worth a shot. Just a suggestion I'm no master by any means.
