Poll

I've been thinking hard about the custom contest, and have the pieces for these figures I'd like to make and if good enough enter in the contest. This will at least give me one to focus on, and if it doesn't turn out I'll focus on the next highest. Hopefu

Thanks, I'll have to try that. It has been a problem from time to time, the fabric staying stiff and sticking out rather than flowing. Softgoods is definitely the hardest, and with no patterns to fallow, I do trial and error until I get it right. The hood alone took three tries. Also I'm getting a stapler sized hand sewer that will hopefully make the softgoods process easier. I've tried a large machine and most projects were too small for it. So hopefully I'll no longer need to sew by hand.

This is just a fun old republic style Sullustan jedi with a double sided blue lightsaber. Decided not to paint the joints on the arms for no paint wear, sticks out a bit but not as much as worn brown over blue. Tried your suggestion Sjefke, and it kind of worked. Only sanded the bottom tunic though, I just need to work out a technique with it now.

Great job on the Sullustan. Curious though, what's the base body for this figure?

It's a The Corps ninja type figure, they're like $2 a piece at Walmart. They come apart easy because there is just a screw in the back holding them together, makes painting them a breeze.

Thanks for the information, I really appreciate it. I'll have to go check them out, this might provide a good source for custom bodies.

Added a poll for what I should make and enter in the custom contest. Eventually will make them all, but not necessarily with a diorama. Thanks to anyone on provides input!

This is what I've mainly been working on lately, a Rodian mandalorian. Need to paint him up and get all of his accessories on yet, but so far I think the head sculpt turned out great. I based it off the last pic from a comic. Love the design choices in it, like no T-slit, keeping the "bug eyes" really conveys the fact it's a Rodian. I wanted a modern mandalorian look though, so I added the rangefinder, and kept the opposite facing arrows symbol on the forehead. Thinking of making a mold for this head sculpt, really new to that process though, and don't know if it would be profitable. Would anybody interested in getting this head?

Finished my Rodian mandalorian, the sculpt looks far better painted. He's a close combat specialist preferring melee weapons to firearms, but that doesn't mean he's afraid to use the pistol on his belt. Carrying a variety of weapons he switches between them in combat to prevent the enemy from predicting his strikes. His favorite of them being his Beskar hammer, that was until he bested a jedi in combat with it, now he favors the lightsaber he pried from that jedi's hands. Well that's how I designed him anyway, if you like it, it will be listed soon.

Only a short time left of my poll, thanks to those who voted. Looks like the Massassi is going to win.
