Yeah thanks baking soda makes pretty good snow that's what ILM used in Empire. I used silicon gel for the icicles. I like the paint job I did. The Germans would paint over grey tanks white and often times it would be a real thin coats due to the limited supply of paint. So that was my style paint job just alternating thin coats of grey and white it gave it a real deep worn down look.

I've been on a ww2/star wars kick this week. I'm working on a 1/12 ww2 style speeder bike. I didn't do much to it just made a headlight and a licence plate, and painted and decaled it. I intend to make a ww2 biker scout soon.

  I decided to add some small wings on the sides just to give it an extra dieselpunk look. After all it is a flying motorcycle of sorts.

I think I'll put all my WW2 mashups here, just to have them all in the same place whether its a vehicle, figure or whatever, to make life easy.
   
Here is a sneak peak at my Stalingrad snowtrooper. This is my first TFA purchase but its the closest to the OT snowy in 6" I could get. I made the bedrolls out of Milliput, and the straps from aluminium foil. I wanted it to be a similar shape to the star wars snowtrooper backpack but in WW2 fashion. I can't do much more until I get some parts in.

I'm almost finished with the Stalingrad snowtrooper, just need to weather and decal. I made a gun sling out of aluminium foil, I may re-do it when I get some lead foil. The helmet is from a small company that makes various ww2 accessories. They took a 3-D scan of a M35 steel helmet, printed a 3-D master and made resin copies. Even the inside of the helmet is fully detailed, simply amazing. I can't  for the life of me see why most figure companies can't do the same. Especially the BIG companies.

 Thanks Tamer! I really enjoy building these mashups. Soon I'll build an AT-ST like I used to, except this time I'll use the Bandai kit instead of the AMT kit. That will be way cool.

Alright I'm going to call him finished before I mess him up. I just needed to add some minor weathering and decals. The decals designate him as an infantry corporal. The decals are actually 1/16, but that's okay because I don't want them to overpower the figure, seeing the next step up is 1/6. I really like it, one of my favorite mash ups, I'd say my favorite custom figure to date. I already have someone lined up who wants to buy it, so I'll have to part ways and build something better.
