Thanks Tamer! I just need to wait for some brass tubes, that I'll use to mount it all on a wood base that I have. In the meantime I'll finish weathering the Shuttle.

I continued weathering the Shuttle today. I used several alternating washes of white and black along with dry brushing applied with cotton swabs, to get the streaking effect. I also used a little bit of pastel chalks. Now I just need to mount it all, and paint the wood base. That'll do it.

Inform the Commander that Lord Vader's Shuttle has arrived.

I pretty much finished Vader's Shuttle. I was able to mount it all pretty easily using plastic and metal tubes.
For the shuttle tube I used .25" outside diameter brass tube. Then I used .256" inside diameter plastic tube to connect the brass tube to both the shuttle and wood base. I used the same concept mounting the TIE fighters using .16" OD brass and .16" ID plastic tubes. Its all detachable and the mounting holes are unnoticeable. I still need to mount one of the TIE fighters better.  If your interested i can give a demonstration, it would work better to use square tube but im lazy.

Thanks Ron! I think it turned out pretty good, especially against a black background. It seems to make a difference.

That turned out great. Off to share.

Had my hands on the Revell AT-ACT  yesterday. I wasn't too impressed.

Thanks Tamer! Yeah, the Revell AT-ACT is definitely made for kids. If it's as bad as I think, Ill still make something cool. I wont even attempt to make it screen accurate, or whatever, I was thinking of making an urban vinyl toy, just do something wild. Im going on vacation next week, so I wont start till I come back. In the mean time I'm coming up with some rad ideas.

You know how much I like AT-ATs, but this new AT-ACT seems a stretch and gimmicky all the way around. They should have just used the venerable AT-AT and at most shown us something like the AT-IT (like the Vintage mock up they did back when), and am not thinking they had to redesign everything with this new movie.

Ehh. I think the AT-ACT is an interesting variation, instead of transporting troops it transports materials in a removable container. However it would be extremely impractical to haul lumber on an AT platform. It would have to be extremely valuable and important. Like vital Death Star weapon components. Because those things only move like 30mph, so it would take all day to get from A to B. Id much rather have the AT-AT, but we'll see if it works in the movie.

Yeah I guess, hate to be down on any form of AT-AT you know!
