Looking good mate, I'm really looking forward to seeing it complete.

Ron
Thanks Ron. Yeah I'm splitting my time between this, my Jabba dio and a custom figure. This shouldn't take long, and once this is finished I have a couple of other droids to build too. Busy busy.

Man that is awesome. It looks great here and on the front page. You are making me want to attempt one of these.

Thanks for the exposure, and comments. Definitely build one of these! If I had kids or something I'd build a 1:1 scale GONK the same way. I have a bunch of these little cups, enough to build an army of power droids. If this proves to be successful  I may build some variants like PLUNK. I do have other kitbash droids in the works I'll get to shortly.

I made my GONK's legs and feet today. The legs are plastic conduit, and the feet are made of Milliput. I also sanded his body so the paint would stick better. I figure I'd show him again before his paint job. I'll give his feet a once over after it cures, to make the lines straight and even. Milliput is too soft to get real sharp lines, but as it cures it gets easier.

Thanks Ron. The conduit does work pretty well. The clay feet gives him a little weight so he's more balanced, too.

I need to figure out where to get some of these cups. I might try this project with my daughter this week!

Well daggone that was a quick response. I have a family dollar close so I can look there. Keep up the great work. I would love to create a start to finish tutorial gallery on our FB Page when you are done if you are game.

I could start a new one and give specific step by step instructions, when I finish this one.?!

That would be great! Heck, I could give you admin access to our FB Page for you to just create the gallery and type in comments for each pic if that would be easier and thank you for agreeing!

The Power droid is finished now. I plan to build a couple of other droids as well. Initially I wanted to build a diorama with Jawas and droids, but that is on the long term list. I just wanted to build this one while the idea was fresh.
