Thanks Tamer! Pleasure is all mine. Every once in a while someone asks, how do you make a diorama. And I never know what to say, because there's infinite ways to build one. It just comes to which way works for the individual, based on experience and comfort level. I figure I'd show folks how I like to do things, meybe it'll spark an idea of their own.
As for the trees, these, really are cool. You can buy commercially availible armatures, but they're cookie cutter trees, in other words, theyre all the same. And they're made for 1/86 scale, so they don't always work in 1/18 or 1/12. With these you can make different trunk diameters, or heights. You can make the branches any way you want. High, low, long, short, whatever. So, yeah it was a worth while experiment. Now I can put it into assembly line type production.
Man I just came up with a great idea to make a big hollow tree.
