That turned out really outstanding. It looks like a Shoretrooper in Southeast Asia.

That looks awesome!

Off to share.
Thank you! I'll start on either the wall today or the stairs tomorrow.

Brilliant work buddy

Ron

Thanks! Does that make him a Thai Fighter?

I started on the stairs. The foam hotwire table makes it real easy to make blocks. Next I'll weather the blocks with aluminum foil and glue them down.

Wow, the tree looks REALLY good! Something I had always respect to tackle thinking about the trees on Endor or Kashyyyk!
You did a great job making this tree and adding details to it. I really like that you also add on to the ruin. The stairs look promising so far! Thanks for sharing all the updates!

I thought it was good enough to be done already and now I see you adding more. Awesome!

Off with your update.

Thank you! You  could definitely use this tree technique with Kashyyyk. I belive thise trees were based on on the kapok trees. I would build a few armatures and merge them together. Dagobah trees would be similar only self supported by the roots.

Absolutely nailing it mate.

Ron
Thank you! Just building it one piece at a time.

I like how that is shaping up.

Thank you! I put a coat of grey acrylic on, looks decent, just needs dry brushing and washes, maybe some vines and epiphytic plants.

I thought it was good enough to be done already and now I see you adding more. Awesome!

Thank you! Im just going to keep adding more pieces, might end up with a whole temple by the time im done.

Thank you!
I finished the stairs. I painted, dry brushed, grey, tan and black. I then spread on my fine jungle dirt, then torn up preserved moss, then the little plastic bromeliad like plants, then sprinkled on my chunky jungle litter, spraying glue water mixture between each coat.

I started on the other side of the stairs. I don't really want to make another tree, it would be too symmetrical to be natural. Im thinking make it falling apart, then add some of those Michael's micro plants all around.  I think ill do that. Sometimes its best to go with your first initial thought than to waste time overthinking. For me at least.

What Ron said! The steps look like real stone. Remind me of my Utapau diorama and how much inferior my paintjob looks compared to yours. You did a splendid job painting that foam!

Ron

Thank you!  I'll have to put the rest on hold for a week I'm driving cross country again. I think ill make a temple facade, maybe use the whole thing as a background for jungle scenes.

Thank you! No your Utipau stone is awesome, a lot better detail really.

Thank you! Like i said im taking off for a road trip, ill have to continue next week. This whole project started because I found a couple of plants at Michael's lol.
