this modell is a little EU inspired,in fact is has no existing "real-thing"...i won a Revell Star-Trek Kazon Fighter modell kit at a Convention and since i'm no Trekkie i didn't really know what to do with it at first...When i looked at the parts i saw familiar"greeblies" on some of them and i thought,it looked a little like a smaller MonCal ship.and there i had it:i got the idea to built my own small Mon Cal ship based on the Kazonship.i raided my spare parts bin for what ever i could find.i used PVC tubing to stretch the fuselage and built up the details from sheet, rod and of course a lot of left over details, mainly from aircraft Kits.the shieldgenerator for example is an Centerline-fueltank from Tamiyas P-47 Thunderbolt...the MonCal Paintjob was done using old frets from photoetched parts as templates to create the patchwork-look with my airbrush.the panellines are simply drawn on with a pencil and a ruler

Really nice, indeed! Great paint/weathering and awesome modification. Love it! BTW, your earlier posts are stellar as well. You really do have that weathering and aging technique down well.

When I first saw this ship last Saturday, I thought...who makes this Mon Cal ship...
Well, the Iron Panda does.
Awesomeness!

Ha, I attended the show in 2010 and 2014! I am the only non modell builder there, the one with the oil paintings :) Too bad we did not know each other ... BTW if you don't mind I would like to take one or two of your figures and play around with some graphic art ideas.
