Well I have exciting news for Star Wars modelers! Dragon Hobbies is now making Star Wars kits. Starting with the 1/35 AT-AT! YES, I said 1/35. That's huge. At least 2 feet tall 3 feet long, I'm guessing. They're also making 1/144 AT-AT, which is more practical. Also snowspeeder and Falcon in 1/144. Seems small, but the important thing is they're all the same scale No time table, but I expect it should be soon, within the year. I've built some Dragon WW2 kits, and they are completely awesome. Very detailed and accurate.

How does that walker scale (1/35) put it in relation to the larger BAT-AT from Hasbro?

How does that walker scale (1/35) put it in relation to the larger BAT-AT from Hasbro?

Im sure 1/35 AT is over two feet tall. According to Wookieepedia AT-AT is about 22m so 1/35 is 25 inches. I don't know how big the BAT-AT is though, but the details and proportions will be much more accurate. As far as the price nobody knows. I know their ww2 stuff is a little pricey compared to Tamiya. Some of the 1/35 panzers can be over 50 bucks, factor in the licencing, I'm thinking at the very least 200, but I could be way off. I'll check up on their website and Facebook for new details as time goes by.
This is a pic of 1/35 paratroops next to the AT-AT. 1/35 figures are about an inch tall.

1/35 is too big for me, it would have to double as a coffee table or something. Lol. But i really would like one. Can you imagine the details on that thing. That's about studio scale I believe. I'll get multiples of all the 1/144 kits they will make such awesome dioramas, with the AT-AT, Snowspeeder, and AT-ST. Their making the 1/144 TFA FO TIE "Black Squadron" so they'll work great with the bandai TFA falcon. I just can't wait, I want them all now. They could at least give an estimated date, like within a year. I'm really not holding my breath for that Bandai AT-AT, there has been absolutely no info on it since that model show.

This pic is a photo they shared of their reference material. They say their staff are all SW fans, so that's cool.

I can't wait to find out more about it. I also am feeling the same way about that Bandai AT-AT.

On the Dragon Models front, they've released some images of a 1/35 AT-ST and Snowspeeder. I don't know if they'll be any better than Bandai's 1/48. Personally I like 1/48, because its the same scale as the miniatures. If dragon made 1/35 star wars figures that would make them more attractive.

What size is that figure compared to an Action Fleet one?

I believe action fleet figures are 1/72 scale so 1/35 would be twice as big. The Star Wars command figures are about 1/35 scale.

I'm not sure if its supposed to be the Hoth version or Endor. It seems to be missing a few minor details, like the leaf springs connecting the ankle to the lower leg. It seems to have the same articulation as the Bandai ST. Also the veiwports are in the closed position, I hope there is an open option as well.

Here's some pictures Dragon models put on their Facebook page. 1/144 TFA Falcon, 1/144 T-65 & T-70. 1/144 AT-ST with AT-AT in the background. I like the 1/144 option, they are all scaled the same, unlike many star wars ships. I guess I should make a Dragon Section, but I'm waiting for at least a release date. Im waiting for it to be some elaborate hoax.
