Hi All,

Completed this display this morning.

Luke Skywalker - Jedi Knight

Recipe

Luke - is from Hasbro's BS 6" line and I covered up the pin connections on either side of the legs but did it so that the knee's can still be posed. I repainted and weathered him using Vallejo paints.

Base - the base/steps are made from foam board cut to shape and glued. The pylons holding the stairs and the hand rail are made from plastic tube and rod. I painted the base using Vallejo paints

Very cool. Luke looks much better. You really do a great job of bringing out the sculpt of the figure with the repaint. The dio set looks very nice indeed.

Thanks heaps JD. I have painted a number of Hasbro BS 6" figures as well as their 3-3/4" figures and I'm still amazed how great the sculpts are under the factory paint.

Hi All,

Started a commission piece and it's a Scout Trooper on Endor.

The speeder is from Bandai as will be the trooper once built. The speeder has been painted using Vallejo Paints and I will weather it using pastel chalks.

The base is a picture frame from a $2 store, the ground work is a mix of spakfilla/dirt/sand with some paint added and PVA glue to help adhere to the base, the dead trunk is a old branch from the bush.

Hi All,

more work done to the dio.

The ground cover/dead foliage/mud is a mix of static grass,dirt/sand/thin sticks/lichen moss and the dead fallen tree is a branch I found in the bush.

I covered the base with PVA glue and then spread the ground cover/dead foliage over the base and once dry I removed the excess and painted it with Vallejo Chocolate Brown.

The small leaf plants and the pointed leaves are from JOEFIX Studio and the ferns are from the craft shop from the fake plant section, the small tufts of grass are from miniNatur.

The moss on the tree is a mix of spakfilla/sand/paint, I mix the lot together until it looked liked grainy pancake mix and then I used an old brush and dapped it were I wanted it.
