I love these bandai kits especialy that x wing with the deathstar base. Maybe for my next project i will print a base for my power of the force electronic xwing. printing the base is the easy part, i just have to figure out how to make the x wing fly above it.

They are great kits and for the x-wing if you use the 1/72 kit you can a thick piece of plastic tube and attach it were the peg stand should go.

For the 1/144 I used a thinner piece of plastic tube and for the 1/48 you can buy metal tubing that will do the trick.

Ron

Thanks , i will keep that in mind

Hi All,

Nearly completed doing the leather, I just need to do some trimming and then do the padded front section of the saddle. I also need to do two rolls for the back and add a few extra greeblies and then start painting everything.

The green parts of the pouches are static grass and once painted will look like fur.

Hi All,

Started to paint the Dewback skin. I have used Vallejo's German Cam Dark Green and gave it two coats so far and will end up giving it one more before the drybrushing and weathering.

Instead of the two saddle handles that came with the kit I cut and sanded some high density foam to shape and then glued fake fur to the foam. Once the fur dried I then painted the fur with Vallejo Dark Brown and then glued it to the saddle.

Thanks heaps Shawn and I still have a lot of weathering to do to him but that won't take long.
