That sounds great, kinda wondering if you have anything TFA in your plans.

Hey Shawn, I do have TFA diorama planned using three BS 6" Troopers which I will be making into a type of assault squad. I also have planned on doing a diorama with speeders.

Hi All,

I took a very small break from the commission work I have been doing, I picked up a few of the new micro machines figures for my son and got myself the AT-ST and Luke and Scout on speeder bikes.

I decided to do a small dio with the AT-ST which I cut up and repositioned, I then painted and weathered it using Vallejo paints.

The base is a table top from a old Figma figure and the ground work is spak filla mixed with brown paint. I glued the AT-ST down first then added the spak filla and once the spak filla dried I lightly dry brushed it dark brown and flat earth colours.

The trees are small twigs I got from the garden and the leaves where made using tree kit from Woodland scenic and the bushes and shrubs are from Woodland Scenics and Army
Painter.

Thanks heaps Shawn and it wasn't time consuming at all, it took about 1.5 hrs all up. The longest part was making the tree which took me about 25 mins to make.

Sweet!! The tree looks great as well as the AT-ST position. The army painter groundwork is terrific, I haven't used it yet but I think that's the best looking stuff on the market.

Thanks buddy and yeah Army Painter and Woodland Scenics in my honest opinion are the best plus real natural items as well.

That is the fun part I found about a smaller dio. It doesn't take much time or material and it's hard to get overwhelmed as long as you can focus your vision that tight.
Well done, Ron! It's beautiful. You should do a whole series of these micro dios.

Hi All,

Back onto the cantina dio and I have been working on the table, I have used a PVC plumber pipe connection and removed about 1/2" off it to get the rough size. I glued plasti card to one end and cut and sanded it back and drilled a small hole into it.

The light is a piece of semi hard plastic that you get covering paint brushes and I cut the size off I wanted and then glued a thin piece of plasti card to that and trimmed and sanded it.

I used a fake battery candle light and as you can see by the pictures I have added some plasti card inside so that the main part of the table will fit over the candle so that a new one can be replaced when it's needed.

The tube in the middle is to reflect the light into the light on the table and it will look better once the table is painted.

Hi All,

Did some more to the cantina, I have added the pipes that are behind Solo's head and the table is almost done just needs sanding and the bottom to be sealed more tightly to stop the light glow.

With the table I decided to go with straight lines where the gaps are as the should be curved but I still think they make the tablen look good.

The chairs I have also gone with one longer chair for Solo instead of the single one and gave Greedo the single one. I am making the chairs out of plasti card they will be light weight but strong and sturdy.

I still have some work to do one the longer chair and the small chair I need to add the bottom and the sides.
