Hi All,

Did a little work yesterday on the bunker by covering the foam with a mix of plaster of paris and fine sand and I also mixed in a small amount of Vallejo beige brown to help make the painting easier.

The exterior and interior of the bunker was painted with Vallejo's German Grey and then I painted it again with Vallejo's German Grey and a small amount of Vallejo's White.

Hi All,

A little more work on the bunker last night.

The bunker was given a wash of Vallejo's Medium Grey and then I lightly dry brushed it with Vallejo's Sky Grey and then I gave it a wash of Vallejo's Black.

The stone was given a going over of watered down Vallejo's Beige Brown and then a mix of 60%Beige and 40% white.

Next up is colouring the stone and then adding a little more weathering to bunker.

Hi All,

The bunker is complete all I need to now is the sandtroopers, the trooper in the pics is to show you the scale.

The stone was completed by giving it a wash of Vallejo's Light Brown and then once it dried I watered down Vallejo's Saddle Brown. Once the Saddle brown was dry I then used a 50/50 mix of Vallejo's White and Dark Sand to very lightly washed it over all the stone.

The sand is a mix of 45% plaster, 45% sand, 10% PVA glue and then add water till the mix is like a pancake mix just with sand lol. This was then added to the areas of the base that I wanted it to go and once dry used a wash of Vallejo's Beige Brown and then a 50/50 mix of Vallejo's Dark Sand and White and watered it down and washed the sand with it.  Once all the washes dried I then weathered the stone and bunker using pastel chalks

The small cable box near the door was made using plasti card and the cables are from and old battery charger I had in the parts box.

Hi All,

The figures are made these are the poses that they will be in, I just have to glue the joints and do the cloth areas and then paint and weather them.

Hi All,

The troopers are now built and ready for painting and weathering, I swapped out the balloons for thin black cloth as I think it looks more realistic. I did the same process as I did for the balloons except I used material glue called Wash' n Wear Glue to glue the edges together.

I liked your baloon effect, but yes this is better and still preserves the movement right?

Awesome Ron, this Bunker Project is off the charts. I shared your FB Gallery this morning and now I am going to go share this. Great work.
