Hi All,

Started back on the "Look Sir Droids" dio and completed the dewback and rider. The rolls are made using just some left over cloth I had lying round and the straps are leather strips.

The reins are leather strips with the white wraps being dried out baby wipes, I used fake fur for the fur on the head area and hand section in front of the trooper is done using foam board and fake fur.

The DLT-19 holster was made using leather pieces and the long round pouch at the rear right side is a prodder holder and was made using plastic tube and then wrapped in leather.

   Very awesome dewback! I like the addition of the fur, I just noticed a couple of years ago the original dewback had hair. At the time I thought it was odd, but it makes it interesting. This is a great representation, actually it looks better than the original prop.

Thanks heaps JD, and when I made mine I wasn't going to have fur but after seeing the original dewback there was no way you could have one without it.

Hi All,

Completed the Escape Pod for the dio and this is almost identical to the Drop Zone dio pod I did except that I used Vallejo Paint lids for the thrusters.

I sold my Drop Zone dio a little while back and started on this to make a Drop Zone dio with the pod doors open but when the client wanted the Look Sir Droids dio I decided that this one will go to that.

The main pod is a PVC pipe and I added the details from an old MPC Falcon kit I got of ebay and also plastic card, wire and 1:35 scale WW2 parts.

The pod was sprayed with Tamiya JLN Grey and then weathered with Vallejo paints and pastels. I also wanted a little more scorching on it and I did that by mixing plaster of paris and black/brown pastel chalks and and a little PVA glue and added it over the pod.
