@ hemble & krztfr: Yes, I haven't thought about NiubNiub in the first place...haven't heard anything from Frank in a long time anyway...but yeah it's true! He got many prints and this is actually how toy companies would do it, too. Hasbro would probably include some stickers for control panels for example.

The prints look really awesome  as well! I think now, you're good to go for a 7-level-Death-Star-Mega-Diorama-in-6-inch-Scale!! That's gonna be as high as some wardrobes...maybe 2,10 meters/7 feet...?

Hey Philipp, yeah Hasbro did use stickers didn't they I totally forgot about that LOL and I was on nuibnuib's site yesterday and he said he will be back soon as he was having real life issue's and he'll be revamping the site as well.

I have worked it out if I do each level 8-9 inch's tall it will be just over 2 meters tall and that will allow me to do the Kenobi's deactivation of the tractor beam as well.

Hi All,

I know a SW dio finally LOL.

Finished this last night and is Ver 2 as I did a similar dio a while back and used a Matchbox Falcon but wanted to do this dio using the Bandai 1/350 Falcon.

Recipe

Falcon - as mentioned is from Bandai and was painted wanted weathered using Vallejo Paints and Pastel Chalks.

Base -  is foam board cut to the desired shape then I used Alluminum Foil to build up the base and alos used it to make the shape of the asteriods.

I then used a 50/50 mix of spakfilla/sand and covered the foil with it and once dry I then sprayed them with Tamiya Brown and then Tamiya Medium Grey. I then gave them a wash with Matt black and then once dry I dry brushed them using Vallejo Light Grey.

Hi All,

I have started making vignette's to sell at my local Con in June and here are the first lot.

Recipe

Sandtroopers - are from Bandai and builyt straight out if the box and I also added stocking to the joints to keep them hidden. The troopers were panted and weathered using Vallejo Paints and Pastel Chalks.

Base - the plain sand base was done using Tamiya's Diorama texture paint Light Sand once applied and dried I then gave it a was of light brown paint and then dry brushed it with Vallejo's Iraqui Sand.

The other two rocky base's I use the Tamiya Light Sand textured paint and while drying I added kitty litter to them. Once dry I gave the base's a wash of light brown and then dry brushed them with Vallejo's Iraqui Sand and then used a mix of red brown and dark brown pastel chalks to weather the bases.
