Haha Ron do you remember my mini diorama on one of FialaFernbruugg's wooden base plates for a 3.75" BB-8? You pretty much made what I didn't even dare to dream of. And you did the impossible: You found exactly the right shade of orange!
Most impressive! Also the R2 looks excellent! I already admired your little review on YouTube. How is the floor of Ben's hut made? If I could only make the walls for my Mos Eisley buildings like that - I could live in peace...

Thanks for sharing, master!

Thanks heaps Philipp and I do remember the mini diorama. The orange is Vallejo's Bright Orange and then I give it a wash with watered down brown to tone it down and get the colour you see in the pics and plus the Pastel Chalks help.

Kenobi's floor is really easy mate, all I did was apply a thin coat of spakfilla and then dapped it with a lightly damp baby wipe and then left it to dry.  Once dry I then painted with Vallejo's Beige Brown and when that was dry I just got a medium brush and Vallejo's Matt White and dipped the brush in the white and lightly brushed it on a piece of paper and then started dapping the rest over the Beige brown until I was happy with the look.

Hi All,

Finished this little guy a few days ago and finally got pics of him.

Jawa 1:12 scale

Recipe

Jawa - is from Hasbro's BS 6" series. I glued the joints and I was lucky enough to find some great cloth when I was unpacking the new dinning room chairs the other day which has a great texture and pattern to it.

Once I glued the figures joints I then covered him with the cloth and glued it in place and once dry I painted and weathered him and his gear using Vallejo Paints and Pastel chalks.

Base - is foam board with balsa wood edging and the sand is a 50/50 mix of spakfilla/sand and once dry it was painted with Vallejo paints.

Hi All,

As with the Jawa the DS Trooper was done a few days ago and finally got around doing the pics.

Death Star Trooper 1:12 scale

Recipe

Trooper - is from Hasbro's BS 6" line and I glued his joints and then covered them with putty and he was completely repainted Using Vallejo Paints.

Base - is foam board with balsa wood edging and it was then painted black and once dry I used clear contact book covering and applied it to the base to give it a DS feel to it.

The last pic was a little fun using the DS display I built about two months ago.

Hi All,

Solo was completed today and this will be the last one for the night.

Solo Death Star Escape 1:12 scale.

Recipe

Solo - is from Hasbro's BS 6" series and I glued the joints except the waist so that he can be turned to give him a bit of variety. Once the joints were glued they were filled in using putty and he was completely repainted using Vallejo paints.

Base - is foam board with balsa wood edging and then painted using Vallejo's Matt black and Matt white and then clear contact book covering was applied over the top.

The last pic was a little fun using the DS display I built about two months ago.

These dios are great Ron! The sand base on the Jawa looks really authentic and using clear contact paper to keep the "shine" is a brilliant idea.

Thanks heaps Shawn, yeah I have just over 5 weeks left before the Con in June and I'm a little behind so I have been doing late nights catching up.

Cheers mate and the contact was a fluke as my wife was covering my daughter's books with it and asked did I want the left over roll to do something with my SW dio's.
