Hi All,

Luke's X-34 landspeeder 1:12 scale.

Recipe

Luke/Kenobi/Speeder - are all from Hasbro BS 6" series. Luke has had his face/hands and partial chest repainted, Kenobi has had his head/hands and top half of his robes repainted using Vallejo Paints.

Kenobi's plastic lower robe was removed and then both the figures legs were tied together so that they could fit into the cockpit better. The speeder has been completed repainted using Vallejo Paints and weathering was done using pastel chalks.

Base - is a picture frame with the glass removed and teh back board glued in place and foam board was added to both sides for added strength. The speeder's stand was glued onto the base and then a 60/40 mix of sand/spakfilla was applied to the base and once dry was painted using Vallejo's Iraqui Sand.

Add: What they say! Seriously Ron, you found this fabric for the Jawa in the box in which your new dinning room chairs came in?! This is beyond fantastic! And let me tell you: When I saw the video of R2 and the hologramm in Ben's house, I thought it was an official high end collectible you were presenting there! And I thought: "Who in the world could actually release something like that? Not even Kotobukiya or HotToys could make it look that realistic!

Hi All,

Endor Patrol 1:48.

Recipe

Scouts/Speeders - these are from the new Star Wars Legion game and is the expansion set which comes with two figures and two speeder with stand and cards. I just buy them for diorama's and displays as they fit in well with the Bandai 1:48 kits.

These two were painted and weathered using Vallejo Paints , Army Painter paints.

Base - is foam board for the base and back section then I used high density foam to make the rock formation by ripping the foam away sing my fingers.

Once the high density foam had dried in place I then used real branches and glued them into place and once dry I then used watered down spakfilla to cover the whole base and to make the rock formations and the creek.

I then painted the base brown and then covered it with a mix of mulched up leaves, sand, dirt, lichen moss, thin sticks and Woodland Scenics Olive Green foliage. Once the mix was dry I then gave it several washes of Vallejo's Chocolate Brown.

The grass tufts are from Army Painter, the clumps of foliage is from Woodland Scenics Olve Green Foliage clumps and the shrubs are also Woodland Scenics Olive Green Foliage.

The ferns are from MIG Ammo and the rocks in the creek are pieces of kitty litter painted using Vallejo Beige Brown with a wash of Games Workshop's AGRAX Earthshade.

The water was done using Woodland Scenics Realistic Water and the water fall and the froth sections was done by dapping white paints around those area's and then Woodland Scenics Water Effects was used to add depth and give it a flowing effect to it.

I agree with Tamer! I just LOVE IT!!! The plants you use are always premium and not only add value to your diorama, but also make it SO REALISTIC!

Thanks heaps mate and that's the great thing nowadays there are so many companies making life like and realistic items you don't have to do a lot of scratch building which gives you more time to work on a diorama.
