I missed a lot.
The Range Trooper dio looks brilliant and I'm looking forward to see the Bepin duel dio completed.
Excellent work as always.

Thanks heaps mate and I've got to get back doing the Bespin duel as I have been building a lot of WW2 dioramas.

Hi All,

I Know a SW dio WTF LOL.

I can't take the credit for painting the Death trooper white, I saw Herman Guerrero on the Bandai Star Wars FB paint his 1:12 Death trooper white a few years back and loved it so I did a 1:12 one as well. Once I had finished I needed a name for him so I called it a Ghost trooper and the name has stuck ever since.

Ghost Trooper 1:28mm

Recipe.

Troopers - are from Fantasy Flight Games SW Legion game and I built them straight out of the box and they were painted and weathered using Vallejo Paints and Pastel chalks.

Base - is a base from the SW Legion Scout trooper speeder bike set and the cliff face back section is foam and the front is a rock mould from Woodland Scenics, once the rock mould was secured I used spakfilla on both sides and blended it in with the mould.

The sand is a mix of fine sand and spakfilla and applied and once dry the base was painted and weathered using Vallejo Paints and Pastel chalks.

Hi All,

I had a spare Deathtrooper so I decided to make a small Scarif dio with it as I used the other three on a dio and just waiting for the water to dry.

Deathtrooper Squad Leader 28mm

Recipe.

Figure - is from FFG SW Legion Deathtrooper set and was built straight out of the box. I used Vallejo Paints and Pastel chalks to paint and weather him and a gloss finish on the armour.

Base - is high density foam and the sand is a mix of sand and spakfilla and once dry was painted with Vallejo's Iraqui Sand. The bush clumps I picked up from my local gamimg shop and the grass tufts are from Army Painter.

The larger bushes are from Woodland Scenics is their light green foliage and the palm tree I got of ebay which I got 20 for $10 and the palm tree was painted using Vallejo Paints.

Man, that palm tree looks...incredible! And the detail on the miniature is outstanding, again! Frank would like it a lot! His Celebration workshop was a full success once again.
Would you be so kind and share the ebay link for the palm trees with us?
A couple years ago I got a bunch of palm trees from China - they provide so many different qualities and sizes...

On Monday I finished another Clone Trooper custom and I'm really getting into it. It turned out better than expected.

Fantastic work, Ron! I'm glad to see you having fun with Star Wars, again and even in a new scale.

Hey Philipp,

Thanks heaps buddy and yeah I saw Frank's vids and pics and the table looked amazing and I just wish I could have been there to see it in person.

Great to hear that your Clone turned out great and awesome to hear you are enjoying it as there is nothing better then doing a project and sitting back and looking at it and saying "damn that looks great".

Here is a link to the ebay seller I get my palm trees from and he has so many different sizes and tree design it's awesome. He has taken his prices up but they are still fantastic prices and free shipping so that is always a bonus.

Yeah I'm having a ball doing SW again and I will be doing 1:12 still but the 28mm just lets me do dio's to save room so I can build of them :)

Hi All,

Deathtroopers, Battle of Scarif 28mm.

Recipe.

Troopers - are from Fantasy Flight Games and are the last three from the 6 pack set. I swapped over the arms on the trooper in the water and the trooper kneeling and they were painted and weathered using Vallejo Paints and Pastel chalks and I used a gloss finish on the armour.

Base - is foam board and the sand is a mix of fine sand and spakfilla and once dry it was painted using Vallejo's Vallejo's Iraqui Sand.

The larger bushes are from Woodland Scenics which is their light green foliage and the palm tree I got of ebay which I got 20 for $10 and the palm tree was painted using Vallejo Paints. The bush clumps I picked up from my local gaming shop and the grass tufts are from Army Painter.

The water is done using Woodland Scenics Realistic Water with two small drops of Vallejo's Light Blue added and mixed and then poured and left for 24hrs to dry.
