Very cool. Honestly that was the coolest part of the trailer, at least for me.  It's weird not having a figure, but that's cool man, it works, I like it.  Keep doing your thing, keep innovating. I love your work, I've been a fan for as long as I've been customizing.

Hey JD, I was the same as you mate, that was the best part of the trailer as it just screamed Sandtroopers to me. The display will have two small area's were figure's can put added for display purposes but yeah as a stand alone piece it works great.

I'm really glad you have been enjoying my work for that long mate and I also appreciate your feedback and thanks so much mate.

Hi All,

The Mandalorian trooper helmet display scene is now completed and I'm calling it IMPERIAL WARNING. This display isn't going to have The Mandalorian figure on it as this is just a display on it's own or for spare figures I have.

Recipe.

Helmets - the one's one the pikes are from Hasbro BS 6" line and the pikes are wooden skewers and the cloth is just some old wrapping cloth I had in my parts box and the helmets on the ground are from Bandai.

Base - is high density foam as are the walls and I just cut out the shapes and gave them a sanding. The stucco is spakfilla watered down and applied and while drying I used a damp baby wipe and dapped over the spakfilla to give it a nice texture.

The sand is a mix of spakfilla, sand and PVA glue which was applied and while it was drying I sprinkled more sand over the top. The helmets, pikes, walls and sand were painted and weathered using Vallejo Paints and pastel chalks.

That looks really tough Ron. I like it. I could easily see this one used for quite a few different scenarious.

Ron, you've once again nailed this scene! In reverence I wanted to ask you if you used original helmets to skewer them with those spikes. But thanks to your detailed description, I don't need to ask anymore! I know I wouldn't dare to use original parts even though my inferior painting skills would give away that I used resin casts.
Man, I am actually quite excited for the Mandalorian! Let's hope Disney won't screw it up this time!

Your display is a great start to celebrate this brilliant trailer! Thanks for sharing and thrilling me even more for this series!

Hey Philipp,

Firstly really sorry for the late reply mate I do apologize for that.

The helmets are all original which have been sitting in my part box for a long time so I just decided to use them and I'm the same I can't wait for the show to come out.

Hi All,

I started a new SW dio which will be called Death Star Construction it will have Hasbro's BS 6" Tarkin looking out a window looking at the progress and the DS and SD which are from Bandai.

That's going to be really cool. Great idea incorporating the Bandai kits. I've been trying to figure out a way to use them myself.

Well my internet is out at home and my work pretty much filters everything, but I have got to try and get this on the front page. So cool!

Thanks JD and I was the same mate and then it hit me when I was watching Rogue One.
